Sleepyhead are proceeding with their plans to build a new factory and 1100 houses just north of Huntly.
They have purchased 176 hectares of land and have applied for consent for this major new development which will see Sleepyhead, the largest bedmaker in Australasia, move lock-stock-and-barrel from Auckland to the Waikato.
This is a major win for the Waikato region which is already growing rapidly thanks to it’s location in the middle of the golden triangle, lower housing costs, a young well educated workforce and more awareness of the Waikato being a great place to live and raise a family.
